[AAUP-ULL-List] Presentation and AAUP chapter meeting Friday, March 10, 1:30-3

All,

I have reserved 109B Griffin for the above date, to continue the
conversation started with Howard Bunsis' visit. We'll have Lewis Deaton's
engaging presentation on BoR's draft response to legislative proposals for
HE (Act 619), general discussion, and also discussion of upcoming chapter
elections, as all officers' terms end in April 2017 and must be either
renewed or replaced.

I will put out publicity via the Facebook groups AAUP-UL and Faculty
Talk-UL, and the lists I manage for Spanish and LAS, but it will  not be an
organized blitz. I do think as many people as possible should be invited to
the Deaton presentation and general discussion, especially those who came
to the Bunsis event, and I am asking for your help with this.

Thank you for spreading the word, as the presentation and discussion are
intended in part to raise the profile of the chapter and attract new
members! I am hoping John G., the secretary, can be there but if not Keith
D. (new webmaster, recently appointed by current president George W.) and I
will take notes.
