Dear all,

As District V Representative I will be at the AAUP annual meeting in
Washington, DC later this month. In this role I represent a 10-state
region, but as Louisiana Conference Secretary and Vice-President of the UL
Lafayette Chapter, I represent you the most specifically.

However, the chapter and conference can also send delegates, and I would
encourage both to help interested people with costs.

Please see the message below. Washington is easy to get to and fun to walk
around in.

An invitation and some reminders related to the Annual Conference:



1-- The day before the Annual Conference begins, the AAUP and the Newseum
will co-host an event titled The First Amendment on Campus. If you will
already be in DC, you are welcome attend this event, which will be held at
the Newseum, at no charge. More information and an RSVP form are here:

seat. Seats will be allotted on a first-come, first served basis.



2— If you are planning to participate in Capitol Hill Day, remember to make
appointments with your elected representatives ahead of time! If you have
any questions about Capitol Hill Day, please contact Sam Dunietz (
sdunietz at aaup.org).



3— The full program, along with other information about the conference, is

4— Chapter and conference leaders: don’t let your members miss out on the
opportunity to vote at the conference. Delegate forms for the 103rd Annual
Meeting of the AAUP and the Collective Bargaining Congress Regular Meeting,
along with a delegate forms guide, are available at:
