I think it's a bad idea to endorse two candidates before we are satisfied that what happened with Alex-Assensoh.

Hi, folks. 

Attached you will find the draft of the joint statement concerning the Provost search that Leslie and I have proposed. 

Several things to note: this is very much a draft and open to change. And while we have proposed this as a joint statement, if we do split on some issues, we can of course issue separate statements. 

Please let us know next steps and any suggestions would be most appreciated. 

A reminder--the last day the committee is accepting comments is May 15, 2017.
